Professional portrait of Bart Van den Eynde (EGHT Care, GLIZZ): an entrepreneur with his feet in the mud

A portrait of an entrepreneur should show who he is, not who he thinks he should be. For Bart Van den Eynde, the entrepreneur behind EGHT Care, GLIZZ Laser & Beauty and BINVEST, we were looking for images that conveyed experience and maturity, but without coming across as stiff.

A phone call before 5:30

After sixteen years with a large organization, Bart was about to become the commercial director. Then, while on vacation, he got a phone call: “Would you like to run a healthcare company?” He had until 5:30 p.m. to decide. He said yes.

Twelve years ago, he had already stopped by our studio once for business portraits in preparation for that new position. Now that he’s starting a new chapter, he came back.

Today, he is an entrepreneur. Through EGHT Care, he continues to build out project sourcing in the healthcare sector, and together with his partner Saskia, he founded GLIZZ Laser & Beauty, with locations in Antwerp and Genk.

A New Phase, with BINVEST

Today, Bart is back in front of our camera. Not because he feels he’s “made it,” but because he’s embarking on a new phase in his entrepreneurial journey. With BINVEST, he aims to gradually broaden his entrepreneurial scope: spending less time solely focused on day-to-day operations and creating more room for strategy, partnerships, and new ventures.

Over a nice cup of coffee in our studio in Willebroek, Bart spoke with remarkable candor about that journey. He talked about building and growing, but also about wrong choices, difficult times, and the realization that a plan only becomes credible when the numbers back it up. So, it’s not a finished success story. Rather, it’s an entrepreneur with experience, self-awareness, and a plan that he continues to work on every day.

That requires an image that has evolved alongside that role—one that works just as well for a healthcare institution as it does for an investor.

What Bart Was Supposed to Convey

  • Trust, without distance. Healthcare institutions, partners, and investors need to feel that they're in good hands with him.
  • Experience, without the hype. Years of running a business, with its ups and downs—that’s something to be proud of. It brings maturity and peace of mind.
  • Ambition, without acting as if everything has already been achieved. Bart looks ahead, and you can really feel that—without it feeling forced.
  • Accessibility, with your feet in the mud. Bart isn't the type to sit behind a desk, and you can tell.

Three atmospheres, one entrepreneur

Bart works with a wide variety of people, from healthcare executives to clinic patients. That’s why we chose three different looks, set against neutral backgrounds that match the brand identity of each of his companies. These images reflect where Bart stands today and the direction in which he wants to continue growing.

Above all, don't be stiff

After more than twenty years of taking portraits, we know that a professional portrait can easily come across as too stiff. With Bart, we focused on the little details: an open smile, hands resting calmly on the table, a posture that says he’s ready. That’s how you create an image that exudes confidence without creating distance.

Bart, thank you for your trust, your openness, and the wonderful photo shoot.
