During the communion or spring party shoot, everything revolves around your child. We take our time quietly, so the tension quickly disappears and real smiles appear.
The photo shoot usually takes place in our photo studio in Willebroek (Antwerp), but can be placed on a outdoor location take place that has special meaning for you.
We create stylish portraits of your son or daughter, as well as combinations with siblings or the whole family are certainly also possible. This way you will immediately have family photos that complete this moment.

Good preparation is half the battle. We sit down a first time together to know what you like and need. And together we look at what can be done and what it would cost.
Photo shoot & styling
During a fun photo session, your party animal will be coached into an accomplished photo model and we'll make sure he/she looks even more cool and handsome than in real life.
We may also take some photos with the family or brother/sister.
Viewing session
From a print selection, you and the photographer choose the very best photos. And you decide which ones to put on the communion cards, thank yous or gifts coming.

Price of a communion shoot?
The total price of a communion photo shoot is always a combination of a start-up cost + the end result.
We make beautiful communion photos from an expenditure budget of +/- € 750,00 (incl photo shoot, book and cards). But this amount depends entirely on your needs and wishes (number and type of album, type and number of cards, thank yous, gifts, ...).
There will be during a no-obligation first appointment always made a very detailed quote so that you have an overview of the total price of the communion shoot in detail.

What do communion photos cost
The total price of a photo shoot is the combination of a start-up cost + the final result.
Session fee:
A communion shoot in our studio start at €275.00 (up to 5 people). This price includes the photo shoot as well as the info call and viewing session and is charged at the time of capturing the photo session.
End result:
In addition, keep in mind a minimum spending amount of €475.00. During the information meeting, we will discuss together what exactly you are looking for, what is possible and what you expect from us.
Based on this, we will try to make a clear and transparent estimate with you of the budget you need to provide for this.
Ultimately, you decide during the viewing session, after viewing and selecting the photos, what you will ultimately order as the end result. The end result can also be a combination of communion cards, thank yous, gifts, a picture on the wall, something on the closet, an album, ...
Can our dog be included in the photo?
That is certainly possible, but that completely changes the dynamics of the photo shoot so the dog will be the focus of attention during the photo shoot. Think carefully whether it would not be better to have a separate (Unique sessions) photo shoot of the dog. We will discuss this together and find the right solution for you!
On average, how long does a photo shoot take?
This depends mainly on the composition of your party; a family with 2 children or a 15-person family is a completely different story. But also on your wishes; if the intention is only to make one beautiful picture of the whole family, it is something completely different than if we also take pictures of each family or couple.
Broadly speaking, a photo shoot of a family takes +/- 1h to 1h20, a photo shoot of a large family 1h15 to 1h45min.
What is the maximum number of people in your studio?
We have a spacious studio and can photograph up to a maximum of 20 people together.
Who is the best communion photographer in Belgium?
Every photographer has his or her own style. So of ‘the best’ cannot be defined.
However, there are a handful of studio photographers that stand out within the community photography landscape in terms of consistency in their work, experience with children and quality in the end result.And belonging to that handful is definitely the goal at Fotostudio Kwinten!
We always do our best to make every photo shoot a top-notch experience. Both for the child and the parents.
We have our own style of photography and stay true to it so you also know in advance what you are buying. This is not to say that every photo shoot gives the result, but it does mean that the look and feel of the photos are similar and the style is even recognizable.
Are you taking communion photos outside?
Yes!
Although most of our clients choose our typical style in our studio, every year we also take pictures outdoors, always by specific request of the clients.
BUT... An outdoor shoot is weather dependent, so much harder to plan.
Also, we cannot start taking pictures until April because it is simply too cold before then.
